Continuous production flow between warehouse and work centers with the AGV Voyager S70

For a leading manufacturer of hydraulic valves, Polytec Intralogistics developed an automatic handling system based on the AGV Voyager S70, designed to ensure continuous, precise, and safe production flows.

The project’s goal was to reduce handling times, optimize the flow between the warehouse and work centers, and eliminate repetitive manual operations — ensuring 24/7 operational continuity and a significant reduction in costs.

At the core of the system operates the AGV Voyager S70, equipped with an integrated lifter and a load capacity of up to 700 kg, handling trays between the automatic warehouse and the three work centers.
Thanks to fast inductive charging, the vehicle operates without interruptions, ensuring constant availability and maximum efficiency.

The production flow includes the following operations:

Raw parts are picked from the automatic warehouse by a robotic arm and loaded onto trays.
The Voyager S70 transfers the trays to the work centers, where anthropomorphic robots manage loading and unloading.
Once machining is completed, the AGV returns the trays to the warehouse area for reintegration into the automatic system.

All missions are fully coordinated in automatic mode, with no need for direct human intervention.

The integration of the Voyager S70 has made it possible to achieve:

  • a smooth and reliable internal logistics flow,
  • reduced handling times,
  • greater operator safety,
  • 24/7 production continuity without interruptions.

The system is already scalable — designed for the integration of additional AGVs, production lines, or work centers — confirming the flexibility and robustness of the Polytec Intralogistics platform.
