A leading company in water management technologies needed to automate the loading and unloading of molds in their presses. Until automation was introduced, molds weighing up to 800 kg were manually handled by three operators, posing significant safety risks and limiting operational efficiency.
To meet this need, a custom FB 150-370 AGV was introduced, featuring a payload capacity of up to 1500 kg, a maximum lift of 3700 mm, and a special device with sliding platform and electromagnet, developed in collaboration with the client to ensure safe and precise mold handling.
Thanks to an advanced positioning system, the AGV places molds in the presses with maximum accuracy and repeatability. The project also included the creation of an automated mold storage, the software integration between the AGV and presses, enabling data exchange and automatic cycle start, as well as the implementation of a remote-controlled backup module, allowing operators to manually replicate movements with a forklift if necessary.
